| Neurochemistry; molecular neurobiology. I have been interested in the molecular events that regulate the number and distribution of neurotransmitter receptors in skeletal muscle and neurons. Examples of the type of regulation I am interested in are those that occur during the formation of synapses, or in response to growth factors or steroid hormones. My work has concentrated on Acetylcholine receptors both in skeletal muscle and in neurons. In 1995, I semi-retired and currently hold a half-time appointment in the Section of Neurobiology and Behavior at Cornell. I am in residence in Ithaca every Fall semester, and away each Spring semester. |
