Pensacola Attorney Fred Levin is in hot water again.
The Florida Bar Association is investigating Levin for comments
he made following the sentencing of W.D. childers.
In May, Judge Patt Maney sentenced childers to 60 days in jail
for violating Florida's sunshine laws and denied him bail.
After the sentencing... Levin was quoted by the Pensacola News
Journal as saying the sentencing was "unconscionable".
Levin says he feels an injustice was done in this case and it was
his duty to speak out about it.
"Fred Levin objects to a man being sentenced to jail on a minor
thing less than reckless driving and not being given a bond and the
bar association has decided well we're going to really look into
this... and I invite them to do so", Levin said.
Levin has 15 days to respond to the complaint.
He says he says his son, Martin Levin, and two Harvard attorneys
are preparing the response.
